15-year warranty on all of our products!

Modern Quartz Stone covers residential owner-occupants against manufacturing defects for 15 years from the date of purchase — starting from whichever comes first: the original owner's purchase or the installer's purchase. It applies to the original purchaser and the first installation only.

If a manufacturing defect shows up within that period, we will replace the affected slabs.

A few things aren't covered: damage from improper installation or fabrication, surface scratches from misuse, chemical damage, watermarks and limescale, and anything resulting from not following the care guidelines. Products must be installed to our recommended specifications using approved accessories.

The warranty covers slab replacement only. Costs like re-fabrication, removing existing worktops, installation labour, or tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) fall outside it.

Getting your 15-year warranty

Slabs need to have been purchased and installed through an approved fabricator or distributor, with a valid fitter's invoice. Keep to all the guidelines and the warranty runs for 15 years from the installation date.

Modern Quartz Stone — Cracking & Usage

Quartz slabs are durable and don't crack under normal conditions. Cracking can happen when external forces are involved — impacts, uneven cabinets or flooring, structural movement, thermal shock from hot items placed directly on the surface, or improper installation.

All cut-outs (sinks, hobs, etc.) must have corners finished at a 45-degree angle. Right-angle cuts increase stress on the slab and void the warranty. A hole should always be drilled before cutting.

Damage from heavy impacts or movement of supporting structures — kitchen units, flooring, foundations — is not covered under warranty.

Never place crock pots, skillets, or other hot items directly on the surface. Always use a trivet, heat pad, or cutting board. Thermal shock can crack the slab and isn't covered.

Cracks appearing after installation are not manufacturing defects. Common causes are improper handling during or after fitting, direct heat exposure, excessive weight, and physical impact.

Abnormal Use & Abuse

This warranty doesn't cover misuse. Specifically, it won't apply if the slab has been mishandled, exposed to excessive heat or direct hot items, left in outdoor or UV conditions, subjected to physical or chemical abuse (acid etching included), stained through poor maintenance, or chipped and cracked through customer impact.

Applying unapproved chemicals or surface treatments voids the warranty too.

Temporary Marks

Temporary surface marks aren't covered. This includes metal marks, fingerprints, smudges, watermarks, and limescale — anything that comes with normal daily use.

Colour Variations

Because Modern Quartz Stone uses natural materials and pigments, slight variations in colour, shade, pattern, and texture are expected and normal. What you see in a sample or showroom display may differ from the finished installation — that's not a defect, and it isn't covered under warranty.

Outdoor Use

Clean outdoor surfaces with water and mild soap or a neutral cleaner, using a soft or microfiber cloth. Skip the abrasive sponges and aggressive cleaners — they'll damage the surface.

A few things to keep in mind: cover the surface when it's not in use, don't leave metal objects on it (rust stains), avoid deep fat fryers and similar appliances directly on the stone, wipe up spills before they dry, and steer clear of acetone and harsh chemicals.
